PETER KITTO, PT
Peter Kitto, PT, is a graduate of the University of Michigan Physical Therapy program. He brings over thirty years of experience as a physical therapist. Kitto offers services for orthopedic sports medicine problems, sports fitness services, strength and conditioning training. Kitto has excelled specifically in providing physiotherapy services to elite runners at the collegiate, professional, and Olympic levels.
Starting in 2001, Kitto provided physiotherapy services to Paul McMullen at the World Games in Edmonton. Following this experience, Kitto continued to work for many of the top runners in the world.
He has worked four USA National Championships, (two of which were Olympic trials) two World Games, three Reebok Indoors Invitational as well as many collegiate and high school events. Kitto’s most recent Olympic Trials work was in Eugene Oregon acting as the physiotherapist for all Adidas sponsored Athletes. He is the physiotherapist for the elite running group Team Michigan. He has also worked with many other professional, collegiate, high school, and weekend warriors. He has worked closely with Coach Ron Warhurst, the University of Michigan’s head track coach as well as many of the surrounding high school coaches. Kitto’s work is mentioned in Sub Four, the biography of Alen Webb’s first year at Michigan by Chris Lear, and is featured in the film 5000 Meters-Nothing Comes Easy. Kitto’s passion for his work and his excellent results in treating orthopedic patients and athletes of all talent levels fuel his reputation as one of the top physiotherapists world wide.
